01 — Don’t Leave Without These
Absolute Essentials
- Passport / ID and any booking confirmations
- Phone, charger and a power bank
- Cash and cards
- Reusable water bottle
- Waterproof jacket
- Sturdy walking shoes or boots
02 — Your Home For The Night
Camping / Hammocking
- Tent or hammock with straps and tarp
- Sleeping bag rated for the season
- Sleeping mat or roll
- Head torch and spare batteries
- Pegs, guy lines and a mallet
03 — Fuel The Adventure
Food & Cooking
- Camping stove and gas canister
- Lightweight pot and pan
- Mug, bowl and spork
- Lighter or matches
- Easy meals, snacks and coffee or tea
- Rubbish bags to leave no trace
04 — For The Trail
Hiking Essentials
- Daypack for the trail
- Map, compass or offline route on your phone
- Sun cream and sunglasses
- First aid kit and blister plasters
- Extra layers and a hat
- Trail snacks and plenty of water
05 — The Little Extras
Personal Stuff
- Toothbrush, toothpaste and toiletries
- Quick-dry towel
- Changes of clothes and warm socks
- Any medication you need
- A book, cards or something to unwind
